Hazelgrove began in Richmond, Va and has transformed from its origins in synth heavy hip hop to include a blend of r&b and indie rock. Artists such as Frank Ocean, Toro y Moi, and Omar Apollo have inspired the artist heavily over the past few years. Hazelgrove’s mission is to combine the organic and digital together to create a futuristic sound that still breathes. 

Hazelgrove was voted into the top five Richmond artists of 2024 in the pop category in RVA Magazine and has produced and played live synth for other prominent Virginia artists such as Tommy Richman and Borilin.
